Job Summary
A company that offers an online auction website needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Senior Software Engineer.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver the platform and contribute to upstream open source projects
- Working on building a very resilient distributed system at company’s edges that can proxy all of company's traffic with unparalleled observability
- Leading other developers in different phases of system development
Required Skills:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or any equivalent field with at least 8 years of experience
- Experience with distributed systems with design and implementation of network communication
- Experience having built and debugged large scale distributed systems
- Demonstrated passion about observability and monitoring of the system
- Hands-on experience with various programming languages like C/C++, GoLang, Python in order to build the system and also build automation around it for better observability and remediation
- Deep knowledge and experience of the networking topology (TCP and HTTP stack) to troubleshoot any network related issues encountered by the system
