Job Summary
An insurance company is filling a position for a Remote Senior Underwriter in League City.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Underwriting life insurance applications making competitive, sound offers
- Reviewing applications in a timely fashion in order to meet department production goals
- Classifying files into preferred and super preferred categories when the product supports such rates
Position Requirements Include:
- 5 plus years of experience in underwriting risk selection and risk management
- Knowledge of risk factors, particularly medical terms and their effect on assumptions
- Heavy experience in workflow system methods, knowledge of successful operation of underwriting
- Proficient data entry skills
- Strong organization skills, technical skills in underwriting and attention to detail
- Excellent written, oral communication and comprehension skills
