Job Summary
A political community is filling a position for a Remote Senior Web Developer.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Providing mentoring and technical input specific to the Rails stack
- Delivering new features on a large Rails application
- Supporting the application architect of the content applications team
Position Requirements Include:
- Experience being on-call for a production Rails application
- Production experience maintaining a production Rails "majestic" monolith into a service-oriented design
- Strong Javascript development experience and ecosystem understanding
- Experience integrating with third party APIs in Ruby and can clearly articulate position on TDD/BDD/testing
- Experience mentoring less experienced application developers through pairing, discussions, etc.
- Strong and recent development experience in a large Ruby/Rails application codebase with an emphasis on delivering to production in their recent roles
