Remote Sensing Data Scientist

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Remote Sensing Data Scientist will develop calibration and image processing systems for multispectral infrared data from Muon's FireSat mission and the upcoming Space-Based Environmental Monitoring program.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement radiometric calibration and image processing for the FireSat mission
• Develop and execute the calibration program for the SBEM infrared camera
• Research and improve foundational data calibration and processing methodologies

Required qualifications

• PhD with 3+ years of industry experience; MS with 6+ years; or BS with 8+ years of industry experience
• 4+ years of experience calibrating imaging instruments
• Hands-on experience with complex data from new imaging instruments
• Exceptional skills in python-based development and analysis
• Strong statistical and mathematical skills
