Job Summary
A staffing company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Service Provider Software Asset Manager in Santa Clara.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Developing and enhancing methodologies, policies and practices for software asset life cycle management
- Developing quality assurance practices and practices for the administration of software license contracts, maintenance and entitlements
- Advising the relevant project, program, infrastructure and application portfolio managers on software licensing and compliance
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Travel as required - up to 20%
- Bachelor's degree in related filed along with ten years of related technical experience
- Strong knowledge and experience with software asset lifecycle management processes
- Experience with development of software asset management policies, workflows, processes, and procedures
- Knowledge and experience with software asset management related international standards (e.g., ISO 19770, ISO20000/ITIL)
- Experience with license management and optimization tools, software discovery tools (e.g. MS SCCM, Remedy, CMDB, LANDesk, or similar)
