Job Summary
An online payments platform has a current position open for a Remote Small Business Credit Senior Legal Counsel in San Francisco.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Utilizing expertize in legal issues, laws and regulations
- Overseeing issues with product regulatory issues, loan underwriting, marketing, loan servicing, bankruptcy and collections
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- 5 or more years of experience practicing in the small business lending space, either in-house (or in an equivalent setting) or at a law firm.
- Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree
- Admitted to a state bar
- Ability and drive to take ownership of projects and tasks and bring them to prompt and effective completion
- Practical, business minded, approach to counseling clients on legal risk and issues
- Experience with e-commerce, payments, and credit cards
