Remote Social Media Marketing Manager

Job Summary

A startup focused on bill payments and management, fraud monitoring and budgeting/ financial coaching in the aging population space is seeking marketing support, including but not limited to:
--manage overall campaign and messaging
--create weekly posts (2-3x/week) for social media channels
--work with CEO to create unique social media content (photos/videos)
--monitor the social media accounts and offer constructive interaction with users
--develop social media strategies and grid building of a month out of posts
--analyze strategy and create monthly reports that include analysis on social media metrics,
--SEO
--brand awareness and customer acquisition
--some content creation but mostly in charge of distribution, tracking
--main focus is on social media, but email marketing and traditional marketing including a new monthly newsletter will be part of the strategy
--source and manage speaking opportunities/ engagements
--must be able to update manage and update website, including posting of blog posts, etc.
--may be asked to attend certain workshops and events and take photos as necessary for posting onto social media

Ideal candidate:
--Flexible, creative, out-of-the-box, independent
--Must have lots of experience with blogs, LinkedIn, Facebook and possibly Twitter, YouTube, Instagram
--Ability to turn deliverables around quickly when needed
--May lead to more permanent role at some point depending on success rate
--2-5 years professional experience in Marketing and/ or Public Relations
--Experience specifically focused on financial services
--Excellent written and verbal communication skills
--We would also need this person to be located in the tri-state area

Preferred skills/experiences:
--Experience in the aging industry a plus
--Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or related field
--Knowledge of AP Style as it pertains to writing for PR
--Basic photography/video and editing skills
--Knowledge of applications such as Photoshop
