We are looking for a creative, high-energy Social Media Specialist, responsible for planning and executing our social media program, while growing our online community and assuring a coherent, dynamic presence across all of our platforms. Social Media Specialist Responsibilities:
Execute social media strategy to increase awareness of our brand, with a consistent online presence and compelling content
Create and manage social media content calendar
Ideate, manage, and produce effective and cohesive content for our blog and other social platforms
Monitor our social media accounts and engage authentically with our community
Share engaging, relevant content on our social platforms
Contribute to our brainstorming sessions with original, fresh ideas for strategy and content
Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on social media performance; evaluate in relation to our competitors
Stay current with social media trends and tools
Maintain social media database including content, images, ideas
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or related field
3+ years of experience in a Social Media role
Superb writer. Adept at creating compelling, engaging, content.
Smart, sense of humor and social media lingo savvy.
Excellent research skills for story concepts and ideation
Ability to tell a story visually, with photos
Proven success growing an engaged audience base on Social Media platforms
Knowledgeable in social media applications, management platforms, listening tools, measurement and analytics; able to make informed recommendations on social media tools
Understanding of content strategy
Understanding of principles of SEO including keyword research
Stellar time management skills, the ability to work independently
Keen problem-solving skills, and a talent for outside-the-box thinking
A plus if you are proficient in creative programs, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva
