Job Summary
A social media technology company has a current position open for a Remote Social Media Technology Privacy and Data Protection Counsel.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting the development and refinement of our privacy governance documentation
- Building and maintaining scalable and effective processes for providing legal input to clients and standards
- Providing legal advice to ensure your client’s activities and operations are compliant with applicable laws
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- 7+ years of legal experience supporting and advising businesses on global privacy and data protection related concerns
- Proven experience demonstrative of your ability to be solution-oriented, able to calibrate risk, and focused on customer-service
- Proven track record showing exceptional communication and project management skills
- Have a well-developed ability and passion for making complex topics understandable for various audiences
- Experience working in or building, privacy and data protection programs and developing compliance processes, practices and related
- Knowledge of global privacy laws, regulations, standards and related regimes including but not limited to CCPA, GDPR, and LGPD
