Job Summary

An institute for higher education has an open position for a Remote Social Science Subject Matter Adjunct Faculty Instructor in Moraga.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Serving as an instrcutor for Single Subject Teaching Credential program's course, SSTE 398L-02
• Building project based learning units that are developmentally, linguistically, and culturally appropriate
• Working closely with the faculty teaching the general methods portions of the course

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• At least four years experience teaching in a Title I secondary public school with majority students of color within the past 10 years
• Experience teaching and utilizing the latest research-based strategies in critical pedagogy
• Ability to effectively use multiple pedagogical strategies including
• Experience using alternative forms of assessment with secondary students
• Ability to guide teacher candidates in the development and use of standards-based assessments
• Masters degree
