Job Summary
An institute for higher education has an open position for a Remote Social Science Subject Matter Adjunct Faculty Instructor in Moraga.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Serving as an instrcutor for Single Subject Teaching Credential program's course, SSTE 398L-02
- Building project based learning units that are developmentally, linguistically, and culturally appropriate
- Working closely with the faculty teaching the general methods portions of the course
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- At least four years experience teaching in a Title I secondary public school with majority students of color within the past 10 years
- Experience teaching and utilizing the latest research-based strategies in critical pedagogy
- Ability to effectively use multiple pedagogical strategies including
- Experience using alternative forms of assessment with secondary students
- Ability to guide teacher candidates in the development and use of standards-based assessments
- Masters degree
