Job Summary

A multi-faceted financial agency needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Software Engineer I in Des Moines.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Designing, implementing and supporting high volume, highly available systems infrastructure
  • Supporting infrastructure for our Application Platform Services environment that enables business areas to develop & deploy applications
  • Supporting a variety of Java Runtime environments, including IBM WebSphere, IBM Liberty, IBM Java Batch and IBM Portal

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree with a preference in a science, technology, engineering, or math related field
  • OR equivalent work experience (6 years of experience equates to an Associate’s degree when defining “equivalent work experience”)
  • Development, automation, orchestration or scripting experience
  • Strongest candidates will have 1+ years of development experience, Java or Python preferred
  • On-call support on a rotation basis
