Job Summary

A property and casualty insurance company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Software Engineer Lead.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Developing complex, high volume & scalable applications
  • Translating product requirements into innovative solutions
  • Coding, testing, debugging, implementing, and supporting complex insurance products

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • 5+ years of hands–on experience developing applications using Java/J2EE,React or Angular, Spring boot and Web Services
  • Experience leading or training agile teams of junior engineers
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and testing tools
  • Experience with automated unit testing (eg JUnit), especially test driven development
  • Experience working with relational databases, preferably Oracle, SQL server and MongoDB
  • Familiar with GitHub for source control, Jenkins, maven or Griddle build process
