A multinational technology firm is seeking a Remote Software Engineering Manager.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Leading a team of highly skilled and globally-distributed engineers working on GCC and Glibc
- Working under guidance from senior management to make a significant contribution to company software platform
- Interacting with peer engineering groups within to deliver internal softwre platform releases
Skills and Requirements Include:
- 3+ years of experience in software development and engineering, building and delivering software offerings
- 2+ years of software engineering people management experience
- Proven solid technical understanding of compilers and debuggers
- Proven troubleshooting skills with a passion for problem-solving, investigation, and learning new technologies
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a technology-related discipline
- Demonstrated knowledge of open source software solutions and open source as a business model
