Job Summary
A software development firm is in need of a Remote Software Manager in Austin.
Must be able to:
- Help set the goals and deliverables of multiple teams
- Coordinate engineering efforts for the teams to deliver results according to plan
- Ensure issues are monitored, tracked, and responded to
Position Requirements Include:
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, with 5+ years leading software engineering teams
- Experience delivering software using an incremental approach
- Deep understanding of Service Oriented Architectures, Webstacks, REST, HTTP/HTTPS and SaaS products
- Have worked on large, complex applications with shared ownership
- Understands horizontal scalability and decomposing a monolithic application into smaller, loosely coupled services
- Strongly opinionated on how to structure interactions with external and internal services
