Job Summary

A manufacturing company is filling a position for a Remote Software Platform Engineering Director.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Designing and implementing major software components, systems, and features that span cloud, mobile, web, and embedded systems
  • Leading large technical projects including priorities, timelines, and deliverables
  • Experimenting with and recommending new technologies to introduce into the software ecosystem

Skills and Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university
  • 15+ years of professional software development experience
  • Expert proficiency in software development using a general purpose programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Go, and/or Swift)
  • Expertise in system design of distributed systems
  • Ability to define and evolve engineering processes to improve engineering effectiveness and efficiency
  • Ability to evangelize architectural best practices across the engineering department
