Job Summary
A technology company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Software Security Engineer in Herndon.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Designing, creating and extending software solutions by conferring with users, studying information needs, systems flow, data usage and work processes
- Determining operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definitions and requirements
- Developing thorough documentation including user and administrator guides, flow charts, diagrams and code comments
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Can be based remotely with occasional to Herndon, VA
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relate field
- Three (3) years development experience with Java, Python, PHP OR JavaScript
- Three (3) years of experience developing and enhancing tools supporting information security and tactics
- Experience in custom development with Security Applications and SIEM tools, especially Splunk, required
- Software design, debugging, testing and documentation skills
- Experience interacting with and developing APIs
