Job Summary

Providing effective audio and video interpreting services, the independent contractor Remote Spanish Interpreter will handle on-demand calls to facilitate communication for the Limited English Proficient community while ensuring adherence to professional standards and confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective audio and video interpreting through a web-based platform
• Answer inbound calls in a timely manner
• Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct and maintain strict confidentiality standards

Required qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and Spanish
• Technology proficient with web-based platforms, email, and Microsoft Word
• A quiet, secure interpreting space free from outside noises
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Industry-specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.)
