Job Summary
A risk management firm is in need of a Remote Speciality Insurance Underwriter.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Analyze applicants' data and assess applicants' risk while operating underwriting software
- Evaluate software-based recommendations and research applicants as necessary
- Determine coverage and premiums and decide whether or not to offer insurance
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, a related field
- 2+ years of relevant and progressive Company or MGA Underwriting experience in a specialty or related area
- Sound analytical skills, as well as strong decision-making and problem-solving aptitude
- Solid computer knowledge, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Excel and ImageRight
- Basic knowledge of underwriting and insurance industry theories and practices
- Strong personal organization and time management skill sets
