Job Summary

A manufacturing company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Specialty MRO Lead Category Manager in New Britain.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Navigating multiple ERP and procurement systems to establish a spend baseline
• Driving $1.2M in Year over Year productivity on a $35M spend category
• Developing and implementing the global MRO category strategies

Qualifications Include:

• Must be able to travel 20% of the time
• Bachelor's degree
• 5 to 10 years of strategic sourcing with experience driving change within matrixed organizations
• 2 to 5+ years of experience in one or more of these categories: Chemicals/Lubricants MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Operations)
• Proficiency in driving value through SKU rationalization and Value engineering techniques
• Proven experience developing, selling and implementing category strategies in a large matrixed organization
