Remote SQL Database Administrator in Ephrata

Job Summary

A staffing company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote SQL Database Administrator in Ephrata.

Must be able to:

• Create Linked Servers to SQL Servers and other databases
• Create Users and assign permissions based on the level of database access the user would need
• Setup Test, Dev, Staging and Production Environments

Qualifications Include:

• Rrequire 1-2 weeks onsite for initial engagement, along with some onsite visits on a monthly basis
• Permissions, Use SQL Management Studio/Query Analyzer to view active DB transactions
• Solid Familiarity with monitoring tools and concepts and the ability to fine tune necessary alerting thresholds
• Strong Familiarity with troubleshooting methodologies to isolate and identify configuration, design, and database behavior anomalies
• Strong Understanding of T-SQL code and basic commands/syntax
• Strong Familiarity with most basic administration tools and processes
