A non-profit farm animal rights organization is seeking a Remote Staff Attorney.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Advising on all legal work to advance the company's farm animal protection mission
- Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing a wide variety of contracts
- Advising on compliance with federal, state, and local lobbying laws and regulations
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Juris Doctor with a preferred minimum of 2 years’ experience in the practice of law
- Status as a member in good standing of the bar in the District of Columbia or any other US state
- Proven excellent legal research and writing skills
- Proven excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated interest in farm animal protection and knowledge
- Able to think strategically and creatively
