Job Summary
An organization that advocates for swimmable, fishable and drinkable waters is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Staff Attorney.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Identify and manage Clean Water Act enforcement cases
- Manage team of outside counsel and technical experts supporting litigation
- Coordinate with enforcement staff from other Waterkeeper organizations
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Ability to travel to various meetings and sites throughout the state is needed
- Law school graduates admitted to the California bar
- 3 years of Clean Water Act enforcement litigation experience
- Organized and detail oriented, with research, analysis, writing and oral advocacy skills
- Experience in administrative and pretrial proceedings
- Knowledge of the Clean Water Act and experience with Clean Water Act Section 505 lawsuits
