Job Summary

A financial infrastructure platform needs applicants for an opening for a Remote State and Local Tax Compliance Specialist.

Must be able to:

• Ensure timely, accurate reporting and remittance of state and local taxes
• Review state income tax returns, tax provisions, and other tax filings prepared by external tax advisors
• Assist with the accounting close process, including reconciliation of relevant tax accounts

Qualifications Include:

• 5+ years of relevant compliance experience in public accounting and/or an internal tax department
• Excellent knowledge in and experience with state indirect tax compliance
• Experience in gathering data and working with teams outside of the tax department in the preparation of tax returns and forms
• Hands-on experience in building and implementing “Best Practice” tax compliance processes for scale
• Experience with tax compliance software and/or working with tax engines and systems
• Advanced MS Excel capabilities and an ability to manage significant amounts of data
