Job Summary
A financial services company has a current position open for a Remote State and Local Tax Manager.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Overseeing preparation of and performing review of state and local tax returns
- Facilitating compliance workflow with external service providers
- Contributing to improvements to existing tax return compliance
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related area
- 10 years of progressively responsible experience in handling complex, broad based State tax compliance
- Experience in taxation of life insurance and premium taxes is desired
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and handle multiple projects
- Ability to utilize new and changing technology to streamline and/or automate current company processes
