Job Summary

An internet news and content sharing website is seeking a Remote Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Director.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Leading deal negotiations
• Liaising among Finance, Accounting, Legal, and other departments to establish the role of Strategic Sourcing within the business and meld with existing business processes
• Designing, communicating and implementing procurement processes

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of experience in similar roles, with demonstrated ability to build a new competency from the ground up
• Demonstrated expertise across the full lifecycle of strategic sourcing and corporate procurement
• Experience with sourcing strategies, RFP development, supplier selection, contract negotiations, contract preparation, and deal review
• Demonstrated skill in building trusted relationships with senior leadership and suppliers
• Ability to partner with budget owners to prioritize sourcing opportunities company-wide and meet their needs in a way that maximizes ROI
• Ability to prioritize sourcing opportunities in partnership with internal stakeholders
