Job Summary
A biotechnology company has a current position open for a Remote Supply Chain Direct Procurement Associate.
Must be able to:
- Review and analyze purchase requisitions
- Develop new supply sources where vendors and supplies are no longer competitive
- Independently negotiate with suppliers/vendors within protocols and reports results to manager
Qualifications for this position include:
- Minimum of two+ years of relevant experience in a procurement role
- Associates Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Life Sciences, or related field, required
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic principles and practices of purchasing
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Proficiency with databases related to purchasing, receipts, inventory, and accounts payable
- Understanding of demand planning and inventory controls as well as project timeline criticality
