Job Summary
A non-profit health care system has a current position open for a Remote Surgical Acute Care Coder.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Analyzing medical information from medical records
- Accurately coding diagnostic and procedural information
- Abstracting clinical diagnoses
Qualifications for this position include:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent knowledge and specialized training
- Knowledge and understanding of ICD and CPT coding principles
- Six months providing coding services
- Able to achieve an acceptable accuracy rate on the coding test
- Able to work effectively with common office software and coding software
