Remote Swahili Interpreter

Job Summary

To support a growing demand for language services, Remote Swahili Contract Interpreters will provide consecutive interpretation, adhere to client protocols, and maintain confidentiality while working on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide consecutive, first-person interpretation for various clients
• Follow interpreter protocols and procedures as required by clients
• Continuously improve vocabulary and subject matter knowledge relevant to interpreting assignments

Required qualifications:

• Updated resume submitted in English at the time of application
• Completion of English Language Proficiency with a rating of technical proficiency (3 or higher on the ILR scale)
• Successful completion of a mock oral interpretation session evaluated against 24 quality standards
• Passing score on Propio's online Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology Assessment
• Full background check and security screen, along with a signed commitment to confidentiality and ethics
