Job Summary

Offering a flexible work-from-home opportunity, the contract-based Remote Swahili Interpreter will provide telephonic interpretation services across various industries, primarily focusing on medical calls, while setting their own schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide over-the-phone interpretation services for clients in multiple sectors, including medical, insurance, and customer service
• Utilize an online portal or landline telephone to manage high-volume calls and ensure availability 24/7
• Complete a language assessment that includes medical terminology and role play scenarios as a requirement for the position

Required qualifications

• Minimum of two years of professional interpreting experience, preferably in Over the Phone Interpreting
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States, including a valid SSN or EIN and photo ID
• Residence in the United States, excluding New York and California
• Access to a landline phone to handle heavy call volumes
• Ability to manage a flexible schedule to accommodate client needs at any time
