Job Summary
An educational technology company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Systems Principal Engineer.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Writing well-documented and structured code on a daily basis to meet weekly software development goals
- Submiting code for evaluation and feedback from Engineering team members through use of a version control tool
- Completing all assigned tasks in the ticketing system including new development and maintenance requests
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- 7 years of professional development experience in backend web application stack
- Experience with version control tools such as git
- Experience with test driven development, preferably using Rspec
- Experience with Kafka or similar, SAML, ReactJS
- Understanding of architecture and design decisions
- Ability to take ownership of work/projects and to lead cross-organization work
