Job Summary

To support a growing team, the temporary full-time Remote Tax Expert (EA or CPA) will conduct client consultations, prepare tax returns, and provide personalized tax advice while working within Eastern Time zone operating hours.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct 45-minute client consultations via video calls to assess tax situations and recommend tax-saving strategies
• Build trust with clients by delivering personalized guidance and actionable tax planning recommendations
• Document client interactions and provide written summaries after consultations, outlining key findings and next steps

Required qualifications

• Active EA or CPA credential and a valid PTIN
• 5+ years of paid individual tax preparation experience, with a strong preference for remote work experience
• 2+ years of experience conducting virtual tax consultations
• Extensive experience preparing moderate to high-complexity tax returns
• Proficient with professional tax software and comfortable using various technology platforms
