We assist business owners with monthly bookkeeping and payroll only using QuickBooks Online. We also train clients on how to use QuickBooks - did we mention we LOVE QBO?? Immediate job opening for a full-time EXPERIENCED TAX PREPARER who will prepare corporate/personal returns, meet with clients via Zoom to explain the completed return, and answer their questions.
This position is REMOTE, work from home.

REMOTE JOB OPENING - Experienced Tax Preparer

Are you tired of doing tax preparation for giant companies that don't appreciate you? Do you wish you could take a more personal approach with clients, helping them get every tax deduction allowed? Do you enjoy putting the pieces of a puzzle together while helping someone understand the bigger (tax) picture? If you are hard-working, have a great attitude, easily make connections with people and want to work with an amazing team of accountants, our firm might be the place that you have been looking for! In so many ways, this is like no place you have ever worked!

Qualifications:

MUST have 5+ years of corporate tax preparation experience. You will need to demonstrate a strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation, basis for S-corps, rentals and have an entrepreneurial, small business acumen. Required credentials would be CTEC, CPA or EA.

Other qualities are professional personality, process oriented, takes initiative and offers solutions, proactive, teachable, humble and hungry, super comfortable on the computer (typing a minimum of 65 wpm), able to recognize priorities and meet deadlines, provides excellent customer service and is not afraid to be on camera in Zoom calls or pick up the phone to call a client.

Technology: Because of the technology we use, this position can be done from any location in the U.S. Here are some programs we use daily = Word, Excel, SmartVault, ShareFile, Lacerte, Trapp Online, QuickBooks Online, Google Docs, Remote Desktop, eBillity, Asana and GoToMeeting.

The right person will:
Prepare business tax returns (S-corps, partnerships, C-corps), balance the tax balance sheet, and calculate basis
Prepare individual tax returns (Schedules A, B, C, D, and E)
Comfortable being on webcam to meet with clients and explain a completed tax return using Zoom
Knowledgeable to project current year tax liability and create scenarios to improve their situation (tax planning)
Review tax returns prepared by other team members
Demonstrate knowledge of tax laws; know where to research to find answers; make decisions and recommendations
Strong communication skills on the phone, in an email and during web meetings with clients
