Job Summary
A company is looking for a Remote Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) in Chicago, IL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to deaf and hard of hearing students through virtual platforms
- Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
- Collaborate with students, parents, and educational professionals to enhance learning outcomes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or related field
- Must hold a current TDHH license valid in the state or be immediately eligible for licensure
- At least two years of experience as a TDHH, preferably with remote service delivery experience
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and strong understanding of deaf culture
- Adept use of virtual learning platforms and digital tools
