Job Summary
A staffing and recruiting company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Manhattan.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Provide quality services to visually impaired students
- Provide special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff
- Participate in planning and implementation of student programs
Qualifications for this position include:
- Must have active NY license
- Ability to prepare student education plans in consultation with parents and IEP team members
- Ability to monitor student progress and participate in review and revision of student’s IEP, as appropriate
- Experience with designing instruction, both individual and small group, which parallels the general education curriculum
- Ability to serve as the coordinator of IEP implementation with general education staff
