Job Summary

Are you well-versed in multi-state employee engagement, payroll processes, benefits and billing support? eCallogy is growing and looking for the right candidate with a human resources background to join our team as an HR Generalist.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide employees with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues.
Enroll all new hires into payroll and benefit systems.
Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance, and 401(k) deductions.
Manage the processing of payrolls using an in-house payroll system. Ensures the computing, tax withholding and deductions associated with net pay are done accurately for each payroll and ensures the timeliness of employee payments. Assists with quarterly and year-end processing.
Establishes and maintains pay elements necessary for processing employee payments and deductions. Attaches proper tax withholding to each pay element.
Ensures payroll records are updated correctly including federal, state and local withholding and unemployment insurances, benefits related withholdings, garnishments, as well as direct deposit information. Reviews and audits regulatory reporting and employee W-2s.
Manages benefits billings, payments and COBRA coverage enrollment. Resolves benefits vendor file discrepancies.
Provides input on HR systems, software, and maintenance. Maintains employee data requirements in the internal HR systems.
Provides general HR assistance in all areas including leadership development, benefits, compensation and employment activities.
Process bi-weekly transfer of payroll data.
Timely termination of employees in both payroll and benefit systems.
Organize and maintain employee documentation and files.
Participate in internal audits to ensure accuracy of employee records in HR information system.
Run and compile monthly and ad hoc HR reports.
Assist with HR special projects or initiatives as needed.
Ensure accurate and proper reporting of Overtime hours
Assist in client billing - standard and ad hoc services

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience; BA/BS degree in human resources or related field preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative/billing and human resources role.
Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
Understanding of basic HR functions and best practices.
Ability to maintain company and employee confidentiality and handle sensitive proprietary information in an appropriate manner.
Must be well-organized, detail-oriented and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Analytical thinker with strong problem solving
Team player who is also able to work well independently
Excellent communicator with strong written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Able to communicate easily with associates and others and act as a Company ambassador
Experience and familiarity with multi-state employment practices
