Job Summary

A company that provides a software platform for machine data needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Threat Researcher.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Building analytics and detections for various Splunk security products
• Building prototypes using existing product capabilities and creating new capabilities using Python, Go, and Javascript
• Creating research content (papers, blogs) to be presented at public venues

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• BS in EE or CS degree with 5 + years of industry experience or equivalent practical experience
• Have expert level skills in python and JavaScript, ideally built and maintained open source projects
• Have a solid foundation in API, data structures, algorithms, software design and security
• Have excellent problem-solving skills with great attention to detail, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Have an uncanny ability to learn new technologies quickly and are not afraid to share your hard-won insights with fellow team members
