Job Summary

Providing audio and video interpretation services remotely, the Independent Contractor for Toisan and Mandarin or Cantonese will handle on-demand calls to facilitate communication for the Limited English Proficient community while ensuring adherence to professional standards and protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective audio and video interpreting through a web-based platform
• Answer inbound calls in a timely manner while delivering superior customer service
• Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct and maintain confidentiality standards

Required qualifications

• Full fluency in English and Toisan and Mandarin or Cantonese
• Proficient in technology, including web-based platforms and Microsoft Word
• Access to a quiet and secure interpreting space free from outside noise
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Industry-specific certifications or training (e.g., CMI, CCHI) preferred
