Job Summary

A defense and aerospace company is seeking a Remote Trade Compliance Specialist.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Implementing the company Customs Trade Compliance Program through supporting procedures and work instructions
• Determining, verifying and maintaining CBP (19 CFR and FTR) requirements for all proposed export/imports
• Monitoring and managing compliance with FDA regulations for imports

Skills and Requirements Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent training/experience
• 4-6 years of prior relevant experience in U.S. import/export compliance
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
• Knowledge of 19 CFR, Foreign Trade Regulations, Export Administration Regulation and International Traffic in Arms Regulations
• Understanding of the critical elements of a commercial invoice, shipper's letter of instruction, and AES filing
• The ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment with time-critical schedule events
