Job Summary

A a health oriented higher education university has a current position open for a Remote Transplant Financial Counselor.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Providing counseling on transplant-specific financial expectations
• Coordinating the insurance process for patients for evaluation,
• Seeking to maximize the utilization of benefits and coordinate cost-effective care

Position Requirements Include:

• Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training
• Three (3) years of experience with insurance benefits and authorizations
• A knowledge of spreadsheet and document applications
• Strong computer proficiency in all relevant applications and software
• Advanced interpersonal skills to develop productive ongoing relationships with payors, and outside agencies
• Ability to interact with patients about financial preparedness, insurers, and other parties
