Job Summary
A marketing company is seeking a Remote Transportation and Logistics Category Manager.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Provide strategic procurement leadership for relationships with strategic suppliers
- Have overall responsibility for developing, communicating and implementing procurement strategies
- Build relationships in order to partner with key stakeholders and senior leadership
Qualifications for this position include:
- College degree preferred, or demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements
- 5+ years procurement with experience working directly with logistics or supply chain suppliers
- Experience working with LTL, truckload, 3PL and courier suppliers a plus
- Exemplary negotiation skills in a robust and large corporate procurement environment
- Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships across multiple organizations and with vendors at the highest levels
