Job Summary
A consumer goods company has an open position for a Remote Transportation Coordinator.
Must be able to:
- Support our wet and dry pet food network in multiple facets of inbound ingredient transportation
- Find and secure new carriers for bulk and frozen ingredients, coordinate with dedicated fleet and OTR carriers, research and file claims, and help to resolve freight payment discrepancies
- Participate and lead ad-hoc projects and assignments that will give you experience and insight to other parts of our supply chain processes
Qualifications for this position include:
- Proven self-starter that is motivated by curiosity to learn new things
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills across multiple levels of the organization and with outside vendors
- 2+ years of transportation procurement/coordination experience
- Demonstrated understanding of Transportation Management systems and industry terminology
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and TEAMS - SAP and SAPTM experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree preferred; 2+ years of transportation procurement/coordination experience (will accept candidates without degree, but with ample work experience)
