We are growing very fast and we are looking for someone to join our team as a travel coordinator.

Job description

A great trip involves many details. We need help researching, confirming, and following up on details. These could include hotels, car rentals, train tickets, local guides, attractions, or restaurants. Experience as a travel agent, or even in the travel industry, is not required. This is a work from home opportunity. You must have a workspace and a computer with internet access. Your tasks will be assigned in our project management software, and they will have a due date. But there is no need to work 9-5.

Required experience
Previous job experience in one or more of the following: executive assistant, customer service - OR other experience that you think is relevant, and tell me why.

Requirements:

Help with custom itineraries for independent travelers to Italy as needed. Perform hotel or transportation research online and by phone, make bookings, write up a client's draft itinerary in English for review, organize documentation and eventually help with financial reconciliation of commissions. This position does not initially include direct client interaction, but there are many opportunities for development as the business grows.
Must already know how to use Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Skype, Google Maps, and proficient user of Internet.
Must be willing and able to learn online tools including Basecamp, Toggl, Freshbooks
Must be able to work from home and work independently. Most day-to-day interaction will be via email and through online tools.
Language skills: Good spoken and written Italian (for phone calls) and native like fluency in English.
High integrity and trustworthiness, to be able to handle client confidential information. Will require 2-3 personal references.
Attention to details, works thoroughly, checks own work, professional and reliably meets commitments and deadlines. Flexible attitude.
Must have own computer, phone and reliable Internet connection.

Knowledge of Basecamp (project management tool)
Familiar with American customs and preferences

Important note:
This job does not involve any traveling. You will be working on administrative and research tasks from your remote location.
The contractor must be an independent contractor responsible for their own taxes, and benefits who can sign a simple contract for services.
