Job Summary
A non-profit organization that provides technical and financial resources to rural communities has an open position for a Remote Tribal and Native Community Navigator.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Establishing, deepening and nurturng trust and relationships with Indigenous Peoples, Tribes, both Federally recognized and non-Federally recognized
- Increasing awareness within RCAC of Indigenous Peoples, Native and Tribal culture, and the strengths and challenge of their communities
Qualifications Include:
- Ability to establish, deepen and nurture trust and relationships with Indigenous Peoples and grassroots organizations, nonprofit organizations, state agencies and Community Development Financial Institutions
- Ability to work with, and under the direction of, Indigenous Peoples and Native and Tribal organizations
- Ability to seek culturally appropriate ways for organizaiton to provide resources to Indigenous Peoples, Native and Tribal communities and New Mexico's Indian Country so communities can actualize self-determined goals
- Ability to improve outcomes for Indigenous Peoples and Native and Tribal communities through technical assistance, training, capital expertise and outreach
- Ability to gain a working knowledge of organization's programs and services, and conduct needs assessments to match services with Indigenous Peoples and Native and Tribal communities' needs
