Job Summary
A health non-profit organization is in need of a Remote Tribal Food System Project Director in Topeka.
Must be able to:
- Plan logistics and promote nutrition education and outreach events in collaboration with partners
- Train, communicate with and support nutrition assistants
- Meet with Kansas tribal leaders, employees, members to determine food system priorities and implementation strategies
Qualifications for this position include:
- Ability to travel at least 20% of the time, including some overnight travel
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum two years experience in any of the following: community organizing and mobilization, public health, policy, healthcare or nutrition health experience
- Ability to recruit, direct, coach, monitor, and supervise volunteers
- Working knowledge and experience in tribal and non-tribal partnership building
- All other requirements necessary for this position
