Remote Truss Designer

Job Summary

To support a growing building components manufacturer, the full-time Remote Truss Designer will design roof and floor truss systems using MiTek software for a diverse range of commercial, multifamily, and residential projects while collaborating with various teams to ensure accurate and efficient designs.

Key responsibilities

• Design roof and floor truss systems and produce code-compliant truss placement plans
• Review architectural and structural plans to develop practical truss solutions and coordinate with project stakeholders
• Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high quality and accuracy standards

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of truss design experience, preferably in commercial and multifamily projects
• Proficiency in MiTek Structure or MiTek Sapphire software
• Strong understanding of wood truss engineering principles and structural load paths
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural construction documents
• Experience designing roof and floor truss systems
