Job Summary
A healthcare information solutions company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Tumor Registry Quality Assurance Specialist in Birmingham.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Providing training and direction to Cancer Registry
- Receiving direction from the Cancer Registry HIM Manager, HIM Sr. Director, and Cancer Committee
- Working collaboratively with Cancer Registry team members
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) credential required
- Assoicate's Degree or eqivalncy commensurate with established CTR credentials
- Minimum five years of hospital registry experience as a Certified Tumor Registrar
- Strong computer and keyboarding skills, including proficiency with Microsoft applications and internet research
- Previous experience working wiht an ACoS Approved Cancer Program and/or MNC Cancer Program
- Experience with cancer registry software and electronic record systems
