Job Summary
A business solutions company has an open position for a Remote Underpayment Analyst in the Dallas Area.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Research and resolve underpayments from insurance companies
- Assess Managed Care contracts for appropriate reimbursement to validate the payment received
- Contact payers and pursue collection of underpayments, and perform appropriate follow-up with payer for payment
Qualifications for this position include:
- Must be able to read, review, and analyze reimbursement contracts from managed care insurance companies
- Knowledge and understanding of 837/UB04 claims and 835/EOB/RA
- Understanding of HMOs, PPOs, and other Managed Care plans
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required
- Able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance figures and reconcile figures
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least one year of related experience required
