Remote Underwriting Product Specialist in Cincinnati

Job Summary

An insurance company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Underwriting Product Specialist in Cincinnati.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Assist with the development of new medical stop-loss products and revisions to current products
• Be responsible for product development and compliance of medical stop-loss line of business
• Assist in authoring underwriting guidelines and processes

Required Skills:

• Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of compliance and/or underwriting experience
• Must be able to work independently and be familiar with basic underwriting concepts
• Must be detail-oriented and have strong analytical, decision making and problem resolution skills
• Previous underwriting experience in medical stop loss insurance required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required as well as the ability to be flexible and work in a team environment
• Excellent relationship building skills are required
