Job Summary
A financial advisory firm has a current position open for a Remote Underwriting VP.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and executing Strategic Planning including oversight and leadership of strategic direction for Underwriting
- Increasing visibility and liaison role with carrier partners and industry players
- Expanding current relationships with both partner carriers and other industry entities (including but not limited to Chief Underwriters, Medical Directors, etc.)
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, H.S. Diploma or GED certificate + Significant Practical Experience will be considered
- 5 to 10 years of Financial Services Industry experience
- Life and Health state licenses are preferred
- Experience and adaptability working with Data Base systems – Agency Integrator, CRM (Client Relationship Manager) and Paper Clip
- FALU (Fellow Advanced Life Underwriting)
- 5 to 8 years of experience in a BGA Underwriting Leadership Role, with focus on financial underwriting, strategic planning, marketing and compelling case advocacy
