Remote UNIX System Administrator

Job Summary

A full service IT company has an open position for a Remote UNIX System Administrator.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Install and upgrade UNIX system software on company servers and computers
• Implement network and computer system policies
• Detect and troubleshoot software and hardware issues

Qualifications Include:

• High school diploma or GED
• Six or more years of experience with computer systems or networking
• Previous experience as a UNIX System Administrator
• Knowledge of UNIX and LINUX operating systems, storage environments, file systems, and network protocols
• In-depth knowledge of computer hardware systems including circuit boards, memory modules, and processors
